Why this logo?
There is a tradition that commemorates the heroine of nursing, Florence Nightingale, who was seen in the dark alleys with a lamp while caring for the injured soldiers of the Crimean War. The lamp symbolizes the light that a nurse becomes to her patients and as a symbol of hope and comfort to those who are suffering. The nursing cap symbolizes the goal of the nurse, which is to provide “service to those in need.” Furthermore, the cap is a sign of the industry's ageless values of dedication, honesty, wisdom, and faith. Finally, the Hands symbolize our readiness to give of ourselves to the welfare of those in need and to also uphold the standard of nursing.
